This recipe is perfect when you want something decadent and warm for dinner… I love this because it takes no time to make. If you love mushrooms, this dish is for you! You can substitute the mushrooms for any kind that you like, for this recipe I used a mix of white, cremini and shiitake mushrooms. Enjoy!
It’s officially been 2 weeks since turning *vegan*! I am sitting at a café, having a matcha drink (typical), and thinking of all the changes that are going on in my body & mind. I am on this incredible journey, and I want to share it (and add my voice to the ever-growing dialogue). So, here are some of the changes that I’ve noticed in myself this week!
My favourite drink to get at any café is the *matcha latte*. I love it with almond milk, with soy milk, and especially with oat milk. I love it so much, that I decided to recreate it in my morning oats. I love this recipe; the oats get so creamy and it’s so satisfying and warm!
On rainy days, I absolutely love having a comforting meal―so today, I opted for a simple (and totally non traditional) chana masala. I served it with oil-free roasted potatoes, brown rice and a buckwheat “flatbread” (basically just buckwheat flour, water and salt). This recipe takes no time to make and it is really satisfying.
Things that I am a fan of: 1. black beans, 2. lots of spices, and 3. cilantro. So, evidently, chili is one of my favourite go-to meals! It takes no time to make (a common theme for my recipes on this blog) and it is always tasty and flavourful.
*Not a recipe post!* Last weekend, I decided to have a little BBQ. It was a hot summer day, and I wanted to make something that we could enjoy outside in the sun! I made some GUSTA vegan sausages and served them with Caitlin Shoemaker’s macaroni salad. You can find her recipe here! It was really delicious and I got a lot of compliments about it. It’s perfect for summer picnics, bbqs, as a side or even as a lunch on its own. You should really try it out. The sauce is to die for! Enjoy!
